Political party of the president: Washington was not a member of any political party and hoped that they would not be formed, fearing conflict and stagnation." He later established the Federalist Party.

George Washington, the father of our country, deserves an A. Unlike some presidents this country has had, he and his administration were able to start our country off on a good foot. Washington not only was a loyal solider, but he also offered this country many new ideas such as the presidential cabinet and the many rebellions that helped the country prosper. He was an ordinary man that united this country through the national union and by expressing the value of the constitution and the rule of law.
As the first president Washington had many goals. He planned on setting up a new government with different political aspects of that of that of Britain, striving for a "unified, democratic nation that could secure its 'national character.'" He also planned on making the American civilization prosperous by restoring trade and expanding the land and country boundaries. Washington completed all these and more with great and thought out decisions. The government he helped prepare included a cabinet, which each member having been voted upon. The advice and consult from within strengthened the decisions made. He had hoped for a liberal democracy in the future, so in his "Circular Address to the Governors of the Thirteen States," he also introduced this topic. In order to maintain the countries morals and values, the U.S. constitution was also referred to often. Trade with Britain had been restored with the Jay treaty, along with many other foreign affairs while the domestic issues were resolved with civil and military actions. Throughout his term 5 new territories/ states were also included. These consist of North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The goals mentioned were not the only ones addressed and considered, but under the new presidency straightening out the government system and preparing it for the future was of Mr. Washington's first priorities.
While Washington was in office he achieved many great accomplishments, his best being his involvement in stopping the whiskey rebellion. Because the federal army was too small, he invoked the militia act of 1792 and commanded the governor’s troops. This proved that the new government could protect itself, and became the "first time under the new constitution that the federal government used strong military force to exert authority over the states and citizens." If Washington had never introduced military and government within the same picture, this country would not be where it is today. Some citizens would be cowards while others rebellious protesters. Military has kept these people in a straight line, thanks to Washington's original example. Unfourtunelly, every president does have his flaw. Washington had great plans when he established the Jay treaty. This treaty had many great outcomes such as regaining trade relations with Britain, removing them from western forts, and resolving financial debts left over from the revolution. The treaty also delayed war with Britain. All of this resulted in the angering of the French, and became a central issue in political debates. While consulting over this topic Washington should have considered the views of other countries also, not just the interests of America. This could have resulted much worst if not handled well. He also expressed his belief in not holding foreign alliances with other countries in his farewell address. If we had actually followed this, America would have lot many bloody wars. He help of other countries is what has made us so strong. The most accepted American value is the relationships it has with its brother countries.
Mr. Washington had a great affect on the future of America and its upcoming presidents. Most importantly he began the presidential cabinet. This organized the activities of the government and provided the top advisors who help the president with all his upcoming projects. He also held many cabinet meetings to debate issues before making a final decision. This ensured that any decision made would most likely be a good one that everyone had agreed upon. Without this the U.S. government would not be where it is today, everything would be chaos and degrading. Washington also introduced the Federalist Party and the 22nd amendment to the constitution, which is the customary policy of a maximum of two terms for each president.
In conclusion, George Washington was one of the best founding presidents that America has ever saw. If he had never stood up and agreed to take his position in office this country would not have all it has to offer. The government would be weak and unorganized. Law would be abandoned and the constitution would be of little value. The inauguration of Washington was the first step to the establishment of the great American country. The 43 following presidents followed in his footsteps and strengthened what "the father of our country" had set down.
